Hard Rock Café

Hard Rock Cafe

What is it: Bar / Pub

Where: Bombay Dyeing Mills, Opp. Kamala Mills City Studio, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Worli, Mumbai,

What it says about itself: The 6,000-square-foot, 169-seat cafe features Hard Rock's outstanding menu, collectible merchandise and world-famous memorabilia, including items representing contemporary stars, such as Madonna, U2 and Bruce Springsteen, and items from rock legends, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles, as well as pieces from pop divas, such as Spice Girls, Britney Spears and Nelly Furtado.

Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai will keep fans rockin’ with live music year-round, as two stage areas can be used for performances simultaneously. The Mumbai cafe also features bars on two different levels and a private section, which is ideal for corporate events, parties and other opportunities.

Hard Rock’s menu consists of great American fare, including burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as delicious starters, such as spring rolls, chicken wings, calamari and prawns. Dishes have also been given the “Mumbai touch,” with local additions like the Calangute Prawn Curry served with rice pilaf and onion relish and char-grilled fish with mustard and yoghurt sauce.

OnToes

One of the best places in the city to find rock music in full bloom.
Crisp and succulent vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare blended with the finest cocktails and mocktails, further, seconded by rock music that originated during the 1960s, 70s and the 80s is sure to take you an octave higher into the mirth.

Every evening is a celebration at On
Toes.
A celebration even you can be part of along with your closest ones, great music and higher spirits. It all began at the early 1990s, when pub culture invaded the city. Pubs began to mushroom all over Mumbai, and the more inviting fast-food joints soon became a passé amongst the, then, Bombay-ites; the raison d'être why On Toes included a pub under its umbrella besides a family restaurant.

The interior was meticulously developed for creating the right mood; a much-required DJ was soon in place to rock the crowd; the select-best music from the retro era added to the overall spirit of the pub… in a short period, On Toes became one of the best pubs in the suburban city… and still continues to be one.

They have a special VIP section and they also have a special room which you are allowed to go into if it is not booked for a private party. Rock Bottom

Rock Bottom is a new-age night club and a pleasant surprise is unveiled as one walks through the close to 6,000 sq ft expanse and discovers different zones, each projecting a special feel and mood with a very vibrant and high energy.
When the dynamic trio decided that a ‘nightclub’ would be their second product (the first one being Rain, lounge bar and eatery), they were very certain that their club would be a lifestyle experience. True to their word and thought, Rock Bottom offers comfort zones, someone who wants to lounge can sit either in the bay aside the dance floor or in the ‘chill out room’, someone who wants to dance has the dance floor to do so and of course a members lounge, which has an exclusive entrance, a bar and also a DJ for themselves. Membership at ‘Rock Bottom’ is purely privilege and is on the basis of invitation.
Rock Bottom is state-of-the-art technically and acoustically. The lay out is not only well planned but also well thought of. Designed by Bharat Shetty, Rock Bottom has been planned giving emphasis to the space factor. The design concept has not left any stone unturned for details and also houses a telephone booth! With 120 tons of air conditioning, 18 moving lights, 17 visual outputs, sound from the renowned JBL and Martin audio, a full fledged pyro-tech (sound and light show), a suspended DJ booth (which looks like a cock pit from the inside), Rock Bottom is a visual treat. Visually appealing to the degree that even the men's rest room has screens fixed in to make sure that the 'feel' of the place is not lost even when nature calls.
Open on thursdays, fridays and saturdays only.

Door Policy: Dress well, smart casuals will do, but they do have a strict door policy. Cover charges are variable and high around 1500 for a couple on weekends.

Open from: 10.30 p.m. - 3.00 a.m.

What it costs: Pricey, but one of the best clubs in town, and stays open late too. You can expect to pay Rs. 1500 for a night here.

Music: Progressive, House, Hip-Hop, Popular, Bollywood

Parking: Valet Parking

Special Nights: Occasionally

Credit Cards: All Major Credit Cards

What I thought of it: Rock Bottom, a stones throw away from Rain, is the newest, most happening club in town. Rock Bottom has a huge dance floor and in spite of this is packed on all nights. Great music, great drinks and beautiful people make this place a damn good choice. This place has a pretty Canadian lady at the front door, a very strict door policy and some really huge bouncers. Another plus point is the fact that its located within a hotel so it is open till pretty late.

Recommended drinks: 1. RB special (vodka per tequila per redbull)
2. Caiparoshka (demerarra sugar per lime wedges per mint leaves per white rum per crushed ice
